Riyadh - Mubasher: STC Group announced its success in acquiring the highest frequency allocations in the mobile spectrum auction held by the Communications and Space Technology Commission on 11/10/2024.

STC has obtained 140 MHz of frequencies, including 40 MHz in the 600 MHz band and 100 MHz in the 3800 MHz band .

This frequency spectrum is considered one of the vital resources in developing the infrastructure of mobile communications networks, as it will effectively contribute to improving the coverage of fifth-generation networks, raising the quality and speed of the Internet for users, in addition to providing a faster and more reliable experience for customers.

The new spectrum will also support modern applications such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence technologies, enabling the company to meet the growing market needs in the Kingdom .

With this step, stc confirms its commitment to enhancing its investments in the Kingdom by developing innovative telecommunications networks, and contributing to achieving the Kingdom’s vision as a regional hub for innovation and technology. As a result of this auction, the company reached the highest ceiling for frequency allocations in the bands below 1 GHz by obtaining 40 MHz in the 600 MHz band, in addition to 100 MHz in the 3800 MHz band, which brings the total frequencies allocated to it to provide international mobile telecommunications (IMT) services to 520 MHz .
