21,370 violators of residence, work and border security regulations arrested in the Kingdom within a week

Riyadh - Mubasher: Joint field campaigns to monitor and arrest violators of residency, labor, and border security regulations, which were carried out in all regions of the Kingdom, for the period from 04/21/1446 AH corresponding to 10/24/2024 AD to 04/27/1446 AH corresponding to 10/30/2024 AD, resulted in the arrest of 21,370 violators, including 12,274 violators of the residency system, 5,684 violators of the border security system, and 3,412 violators of the labor system.
The total number of people arrested while trying to cross the border into the Kingdom was 1,492 people (35%) of whom were Yemeni, (61%) Ethiopian, and (04%) other nationalities. In addition, 34 people were arrested for trying to cross the border into the Kingdom in an irregular manner.
15 people involved in transporting, sheltering, employing and covering up for violators of residency, work and border security regulations were arrested.
The total number of those currently subject to the implementation procedures of the regulations is 17,543 violating expatriates, including 15,317 men and 2,226 women.
10,411 violators were referred to their diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents, 2,439 violators were referred to complete their travel reservations, and 12,196 violators were deported.
The Ministry of Interior confirmed that anyone who facilitates the entry of border security violators into the Kingdom or transports them within it, or provides them with shelter or offers them any assistance or service in any way, exposes himself to penalties of up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to one million riyals, confiscation of the means of transportation and the housing used for shelter, in addition to defamation.
She explained that this crime is considered a major crime that requires arrest and is a violation of honor and trust, urging people to report any violations on the number (911) in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (999) and (996) in the rest of the regions of the Kingdom.
