Riyadh - Mubasher: Joint field campaigns to monitor and arrest violators of residency, labor, and border security regulations, which were carried out in all regions of the Kingdom, for the period from 06/11/1446 AH corresponding to 12/12/2024 AD to 06/17/1446 AH corresponding to 12/18/2024 AD, resulted in the arrest of 20,159 violators, including 11,302 violators of the residency system, 5,652 violators of the border security system, and 3,205 violators of the labor system.

The total number of people caught trying to cross the border into the Kingdom was 1,861, 33% of whom were Yemeni, 65% Ethiopian, and 2% other nationalities. 112 people were also caught trying to cross the border into the Kingdom illegally.

17 people involved in transporting, sheltering, employing and covering up for violators of residency, work and border security regulations were arrested.

The total number of those currently subject to the implementation procedures of the regulations is 29,030 violating expatriates, including 26,411 men and 2,619 women.

20,337 violators were referred to their diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents, 3,425 violators were referred to complete their travel reservations, and 9,461 violators were deported.

The Ministry of Interior confirmed that anyone who facilitates the entry of border security violators into the Kingdom, or transports them within it, or provides them with shelter, or offers them any assistance or service in any way, exposes himself to penalties of up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to one million riyals, and confiscation of the means of transportation and the housing used for shelter, in addition to defamation.

She explained that this crime is considered a major crime that requires arrest and is a violation of honor and trust, urging people to report any violations on the number (911) in the regions of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and (999) and (996) in the rest of the regions of the Kingdom.
