Riyadh - Mubasher: Minister of Economy and Planning Faisal bin Fadel Al-Ibrahim met with Secretary-General of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), Dr. Kaw Kim Horn, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum 2025.
During the meeting, the ways to enhance economic partnerships between the Kingdom and ASEAN countries were discussed.
In a related context, Faisal Al-Ibrahim stressed the long-term approach that the Kingdom is following in growth, indicating that the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 is an example of that bold leadership that led to planning with confidence, implementation with optimism, but also management with wisdom.
This came during his participation in a session hosted by the Saudi House Initiative Pavilion entitled “The Future of Growth” as part of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2025, held in Davos, Switzerland.
He said: This advanced vision is an example of the most successful approach to taking advantage of all opportunities, and it is the approach that leads to shaping a more prosperous future for the Kingdom, because we have invested in our capabilities, and today we have organized long-term strategic thinking, and a clear economic direction.
He noted the importance of building the capabilities of institutions in the right way and investing in developing human capital, as they are among the most important factors for long-term success that must be taken into account.
In another session titled “Pursuing Impact: Strengthening Efforts through International Forums,” His Excellency the Minister of Economy and Planning stressed that the Kingdom, before Vision 2030, had always been a constructive member of the international community, but its focus was on specific areas. However, since the launch of Vision 2030, the level of understanding has deepened further on what needs to be done to strengthen the economy, advance society, and maximize their potential. This has paved the way for greater communication with the international community and multilateral platforms, as well as at the bilateral level, so that the Kingdom and its partners can meet their common aspirations.
