Kuwait's Manpower Ministry Discusses Ways to Protect Expatriate Workers with Sri Lanka

Kuwait – Mubasher: The Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) discussed with a representative from the Embassy of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides in the field of protecting expatriate workers.
Fahd Al-Murad, acting deputy director of the Manpower Protection Sector, affirmed the authority's commitment to promoting decent work, emphasizing the importance of providing the necessary protection for expatriate workers and guaranteeing their rights in accordance with national laws and international standards, according to a statement issued Thursday.
The Sri Lankan side also called for joint efforts to strengthen cooperation mechanisms, particularly with regard to housing Sri Lankan workers at the Migrant Workers Relocation Centre, ensuring they receive the necessary care and legal support.
