• More than 350 specialists work at the center to export innovative digital services to Deloitte clients in Europe, and 5,000 new job opportunities are targeted over the next few years.

Cairo, Egypt: Deloitte’s Cairo Innovation Center was inaugurated today, marking a milestone in Egypt’s journey to build talent and support innovation. The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Amr Talaat, and the CEO of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency, Ahmed El-Zaher, in addition to a number of invitees.

From Deloitte, Richard Houston, CEO of Deloitte North and South Europe, Moatasem El Dajani, CEO of Deloitte Middle East, and Hany Girgis, Partner in Charge of Deloitte’s Innovation Center in Cairo, attended the event, who said, “Deloitte’s investment in this center reflects its commitment to the Egyptian market and its great confidence in the Egyptian market’s ability to produce talents to provide professional services to our clients with the highest quality standards worldwide. This center will contribute to developing the capabilities of Egyptian talents and increasing their exposure to global markets, thus enhancing our positive impact in Egypt on the one hand, and achieving added value for our clients in various European and Middle Eastern markets on the other.”
It is worth noting that this strategic investment, worth $30 million, is being made by Deloitte based on its assessment of Egypt’s wealth of talent and knowledge in fields such as computer science, computer engineering, business and information systems, data engineering, and others.

The Deloitte Innovation Center in Cairo is one of the pioneering centers of excellence that Deloitte has opened in several countries. The center began operations in September 2023 and has since witnessed rapid expansion, with the number of its employees reaching more than 350 of the best talents in Egypt, including recent university graduates and professionals with extensive experience, which made it achieve one of its goals of nurturing and empowering Egyptian talent.

Deloitte’s Innovation Center is set to start offering a comprehensive suite of services to meet the needs of clients from Europe and the Middle East, including AI, data analytics, marketing, cloud and cyber services, as well as ERP. The center has plans to expand to 5,000 employees in the coming years, with the aim of diversifying Deloitte’s services to its clients, which will double its positive impact across a variety of sectors and businesses in Egypt.
